What the role is:The Academic Research Division supports the vision of building a world-class research eco-system in Singapore. We work closely with the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and support them to develop high-quality teaching, peaks of excellence in research, innovation and enterprise (RIE), and a vibrant academic environment. As a Senior Head/ Senior Manager in the Academic Research Division, you will be formulating policies for RIE-related research manpower and international research collaborations at the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) in Singapore.What you will be working on:

• Collaborate with other Government agencies and stakeholders to assess the impact of geopolitical developments on Singapore's economic and national interests xe2x80xa2 Partner stakeholders in developing policies and responses; and contribute to efforts in enhancing sectoral capabilities in risk assessment and management to safeguard Singapore's national and economic security in the IHLs' research whilst promoting international research collaborations xe2x80xa2 Review policies and programmes related to international research collaborations to improve their governance, impact, value capture and effectiveness This is an individual contributor role. What we are looking for:

• Prior experience in policy roles, international relations or grants/ research administration would be an advantage xe2x80xa2 A meticulous and resourceful individual with demonstrated passion for research xe2x80xa2 Ability to work well independently as well as in teams xe2x80xa2 Strong numeracy and quantitative analysis skills xe2x80xa2 Strong analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
