As the integrated regional centre, Haier Singapore is the main platform to provide trading, R&D, big data, cybersecurity, legal and sales supports to over 80 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America markets. As a practice of 'the world is our R&D centre', we are actively connecting Haier to the global innovation communities so that the brightest minds across all fields can see the areas that Haier is pursuing, and recommend solutions, contacts or resources to fulfil these needs. We are currently looking for Senior Innovation Manager to further support the growing needs from business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Based in Singapore, your will be part of the HOPE Singapore Platform and act as the subject matter expert for smart home solutions. The detailed job includes: Possess the capabilities of quickly understanding technical demands from Haier global R&D teams which might span wide range of technologies, for example, new materials, mechanical engineering, IoT and so on. Be able to decompose the vague or high-level technical demands into feasible souring or technology scouting tasks. Coordinate and facilitate relevant technical meetings between external suppliers and Haier internal R&D teams. Be able to quickly estimate technologies from worldwide in terms of technology differentiation, superiority, maturity, potential risks and so on, and provide timely and proper response. Be able to develop/innovate appropriate user cases/innovation ideas correlated with specific technologies. KEY REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidates we are looking for should be a seasoned R&D professional with: Master degree is required. Ph.D degree is strongly preferred with science or engineering background TRIZ practice will be an excellent plus. Track records in international technology transfer and experienced in solution providing in manufacturing industry. Good at logical thinking, analyzing and problem solving. Able to communicate with people at all levels about goals, responsibility, performance, expectations and feedback effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders).
