Job Overview
Coordinate with team to ensure that all department goals are achieved. Responsible for all Inventory Control management activities including full verification of all stock items to be supplied to investigator sites, their safe storage and handling within the Inventory Control area and the continuity of the supply to QLAB departments.

Work performed is in accordance with ICH E6 Guideline for Good Clinical Practice

Essential Functions

  • Review with Inventory Control Associates cycle counts, Web requisitions, re-order levels, stock history and kit requests
  • Coordinate coach and train Inventory Control Associates to ensure all relevant stock spreadsheets are updated accurately and in time as per department SOPs
  • Order stock as required, in a timely manner taking account of lead times
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure that minimum stock levels are maintained, and maximum stock levels are not exceeded
  • Monitor expected future stock requirements using stock history/QLIMS
  • Inform supervisor if minimum stock level is breached or suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 delivery timelines/quality performance gives cause for concern

  • PSC, Purchasing and Finance departments) on all stock related issues such as price variances, non-receipts of goods and supplier issues
  • Train new starts within the department, ensuring they are trained as per the department training matrix
  • Ensure all cycle-counts are completed monthly and stock histories for each stock area are completed
  • Review historical inventory analysis each month to review and update minimum and re-order stock levels in agreement with the supervisor
  • Deal with Inter-lab shipping requests when required, ordering required goods and shipping to other QLAB locations ensuring they are billed correctly
  • Maintain close links with study PMs and Set Up managers to ensure essential stock item availability for study start-ups
  • Source and procure new stock items for new study launches as and when required following the new item sourcing procedure
  • Work closely with the Lab department on all stock related issues to include pricing updates, delivery delays and any other Lab stock issues that arise
  • Produce monthly metrics to measure department performance
  • Coordinate staff in accordance with organization\xe2\x80\x99s policies and applicable regulations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree Req
  • 2 year of related experience.
  • Good PC skills including Excel and Word.
  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communications, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive fork trucks and secure applicable certification.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
