The Company Our client is a leading chemicals firm that has a newly created people leadership Senior IT Manager role, reporting to the IT Director. As an IT Business Partner and people leader, you will lead the IT Operations, Governance and Controls, provide Enterprise applications management and support and the general IT operations management of the business. The Role You will collaborate with the business leaders to understand all components of the business and ensure that their IT operating model such as the systems design, infrastructure, processes, resources, and capabilities, meets current and future business needs. Leading a team of a manager and system engineers, you will make sure efficient technology operations and develop a healthy community of vendors and external partners, provide solid infrastructure domain knowledge in cloud computing, and ensure that their IT infrastructure is protected against cybersecurity threats. You will lead and manage various business applications including troubleshooting, assisting in change requests of different business groups, reviewing existing systems to identify areas for adjustment and recommend best practices for business process workflows. Additionally, you will develop and maintain a service orientated, customer focused IT function that supports ongoing operations that drive efficiency, quality, customer service and enhancement, and support the IT Director in various special projects. Your Profile You should possess a Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering or other related areas with a minimum of 12 years of relevant IT experience with 3 years of working in a people leadership role. Relevant industry experience such as chemicals, energy/ oil & gas sector with complex infrastructure platforms are highly desirable. Experience in managing applications on cloud, SAP S/4 Hana and a wide IT infrastructure and application architecture knowledge are desirable. Solid communication and interpersonal skills, ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across all levels, being hands on and adaptable in a fast-paced environment are required to be successful in this role.
