Job Description

$15K + AWS + VB + allowance5 working days, Mon - Fri, normal office hoursLocation: NorthResponsibilities

• Oversee delivery of legal and compliance services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies, and priorities
• Provide legal support and advice to senior management and all internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters
• Draft, review and negotiate with external counterparts on a variety of commercial agreements, which include utilities, waste water, gas, power purchase agreements and engineering procurement and construction agreements.
• Partner the business to provide legal expertise on project finance structures and mergers & acquisitions.
• Review and provide recommendations on the legal aspects and considerations for resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries
• Manage and maintain company policies, procedures and standards related to legal and compliance matters
• Monitor changes to regulatory requirements and proactively handle regulatory developments and compliance updates
• Provide time-sensitive support on a wide array of legal and compliance inquiries in all operational aspects

Requirements

• Diploma in Law, LLB or similar legal qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
