You will experience these qualities of passion, pride and aspiration in many ways -- from a rich set of career development programs to support of community service projects to social events that foster fun and relationship building across our global community.The RoleMember of AspenTech in-house legal group of a fast-paced, publicly traded US-based global software company.Your Impact Structure, draft and negotiate commercial contracts including customer tenders, sales and license agreements, services agreements, and reseller and channel distribution agreements, working closely with the Sales, Services, and Finance teams. Advise sales and other internal groups on business and legal issues relating to proposed transactions with customers and third parties. Provide strategic business and legal advice to sales team and other internal groups with a comprehensive and long-term approach to business growth, risk management and success. Advise management on human resources/employment issues Drive efforts to stop software piracy and ensure license compliance Manage dispute resolution (including litigation and arbitration) Implement corporate programs & policies throughout the region Manage relationships with outside law firms in the region File statutory documentation for corporate governance and record-keeping, and other company secretary duties. Advice regarding real estate property leases. Manage projects in other areas as needed.What You'll Need Law degree such as JD or LLB from an accredited law school Admission to practice as a legal practitioner in the jurisdiction in which they are currently practicing More than 5 years of PQE experience, preferably with in-house experience in corporate/commercial/IT/Technology industry, with either a leading law firm or the corporate legal department of a US-based multinational or large publicly listed company Significant experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements throughout APJ. Broad legal experience including commercial contracts, corporate, employment, litigation, compliance and privacy. Proficiency in Mandarin (Reading and writing) is a must. Computer literate on all Microsoft office.
