What will you do As Blueleaf Energy’s Senior Legal Counsel you will:

• provide general (corporate) commercial legal support and advice to senior management and Blueleaf Energy’s various business units in Asia Pacific (including Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and Korea).
• advise on Blueleaf Energy’s project acquisition (M&A), project finance and project development activities, including drafting, review and negotiation of various term sheets, SPAs, SHAs, JV agreements, Joint Development Agreements.
• work closely and (cost) effectively with internal and external stakeholders in order to manage transactions from start to finish.
• assess and address legal and contractual risks and helping to manage and mitigate identified risks.
• advise on Blueleaf Energy’s rights and responsibilities under existing agreements and arrangements.
• manage, update, maintain and implement company policies, procedures and standards related to legal and compliance matters;

Educational requirements:

• A degree in law from a reputable international university.
• Qualification as a legal practitioner in a common law jurisdiction (or civil law jurisdiction with the ability to convert to a common law qualification) with a minimum of six years’ post-qualification experience (PQE).

Job-related experience:

• Training and experience working in an internationally recognised law firm and currently working either as (a) an in-house counsel at an established energy company (preferably in the renewable energy sector) or (b) an associate at a top-ranked law firm. Prior experience in project finance structures and mergers & acquisitions is a requirement.

Communication:

• English fluency required (verbal and written).
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is a plus
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, ability to present to Blueleaf Energy‘s business units.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
