Job Description


What the role is:You will play an important role in evolving the MOH, Health Regulation Group (HRG)\'s anticipatory and participatory regulatory approach to ensure patient safety and welfare in Singapore\'s healthcare landscape. As part of the team under the Aged & Ancillary Service Regulations & Transformation Division (AART), you will develop and implement advisories, guidance, and other regulatory tools to enable health transformation, to achieve a more efficient and effective health regulatory regime. The AART Division upholds patient safety and drives regulatory transformation through (i) inspections, audits and complaints management of clinical laboratories, specialised services, nursing homes, centred-based care and home care services; (ii) engagement and management of new service providers within regulatory sandboxes to co-develop regulations; (iii) data analytics to inform our licensing and inspection policies; (iv) facilitating and managing transformation projects within HRG; and (v) working with the rest of HRG as well as internal and external stakeholders to review regulations and regulatory policy. We are looking for suitable candidates to support the following key functions in: a) Stakeholder Engagement and Communications; b) Regulatory Transformation; or c) Health Information Bill You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:Depending on the portfolio you are assigned, you will be involved in the following key work areas of work: \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with relevant policy teams and government agencies to translate regulatory policies to effective implementation plans and manage the execution of these plans; \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop workflows, processes, and systems for implementation of new regulations; \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify and propose suitable solutions to better streamline regulatory activities to achieve greater efficiency, and to see through its implementation. Develop advisories, guidelines and implementation support plans to improve regulated entities\' compliance to regulatory requirements; \xe2\x80\xa2 Stakeholder engagement and communications; \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the implementation of the proposed Health Information Bill (HIB).What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary education, preferably in healthcare related disciplines \xe2\x80\xa2 Prior working experience in healthcare setting is preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 Prior experience in cybersecurity, health information sharing, National Electronic Health Record (NEHR), and/or incident management and response would be useful \xe2\x80\xa2 Stakeholder management in partnerships / account management would be useful \xe2\x80\xa2 Good analytical, written and communications skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Good people management, leadership and engagement skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently and in a Team \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess high standards of professionalism, personal discipline and integrity. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to meet timelines and produce high quality work within the stipulated timelines \xe2\x80\xa2 Training will be provided to candidates who have a strong interest in the above job functions, but do not possess the relevant training and skills.
