DESCRIPTION
This position is for Pacific Carriers Limited (PCL), a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited.
Tasks and Responsibilities: Develop PCL’s new business opportunities and manage new and existing investments

• Partner with Commercial heads in their new business ventures or business development efforts, including the development and implementation of business development strategies and activities.
• Have strong business acumen in maritime space that able to seek out new growth opportunities and able to keep abreast of market trends, industry events, competitors and stakeholders’ needs in order to pursue growth opportunities.
• Review business development strategies to ensure alignment with overall company strategies.
• Evaluate business opportunities using business analytical tools, perform cost-benefit and risk analysis of M&A, JV and partnerships deals.
• Monitor and track overall key performance and progress of these projects, particularly financial indicators, etc.
• Update management and/or board on status of projects, industry & market developments.
• Actively engage and collaborate with commercial representatives in dealing with project issues & matters.
• Able to travel, to maintain rapport with the potential and existing stakeholders, and build networks through meetings, events to develop business relationships.
• Act as point of liaison for Company’s Singapore and overseas investment projects.

• Degrees in Economics, Corporate Finance or Business Administration.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially in Excel & PowerPoint.
• At least 12 years of relevant work experience preferably shipping, logistics or maritime sectors.
• Relevant commercial operations in drybulk, tanker and gas segments experience.
• Good understanding of financial statements and investment analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis, good report writing and project management skills to track progress.
• Reliable and independent working attitude.
• Hands-on and proactive attitude with focus on objectives and results.
• Team player with good communication, interpersonal and stakeholder managing skills.
