What the role is:Youth Residential Service (YRS) is responsible for the rehabilitation, protection and reintegration of youth placed in secure care at the Singapore Boys\' Home (SBH) and Singapore Girls\' Home (SGH). The Homes are gazetted as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre for youth offenders dealt with by the Youth Court and as a Place of Safety for youths admitted on a Family Guidance Order, Care and Protection Order or under the Women\'s Charter. The job holder will lead a team of Caseworkers in managing youths who have been placed in residential care. You will guide the Caseworkers in working with these youths and their family/guardian to strengthen their socio-emotional development and social networks and prepare them for reintegration into the community. You will be based in Singapore Girls\' Home.What you will be working on:Your work includes the following: 1. Leading a team of Caseworkers by supporting and guiding the Caseworkers in formulating, implementing, and reviewing of care plans for the youths; 2. Drive and review the development of rehabilitative programmes and community partnerships; 3. Develop and review operational procedures; 4. Support and encourage team\'s self-care and professional well-being; 5. Provide practice supervision to officers to develop their practice and competencies; 6. Take on case management of cases in the Home;What we are looking for:1. Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related discipline 2. At least 3-5 years of experience in working with youths and/or families. 3. At least 2 years of direct casework supervision 4. Strong casework assessment and management skills 5. Socially and culturally sensitive 6. Good engagement, assessment, and problem-solving skills 7.
