OverviewThis position has a strong focus on Campus Redevelopment, for which planning has started and the new buildings will be completed in about 6 years' time. The new Campus will be a transformational healing environment, where design is not just for a beautiful space, but also for an engaging culture for generations to come.Job Responsibilities Planning and Development Be involved in hospital infrastructure, facilities and operations planning, development and management Plan and lead user workgroups by organising regular meeting sessions, setting goals and targets, facilitating useful and productive discussions, guiding user departments, as well as reviewing performance indicators and work plans Be the bridge between user departments and consultants, so that detailed information, including hospital operations planning, workflows, interdependencies, additional requests and ideas, are documented, transferred and communicated between and with all parties in a timely manner, and captured for holistic design, development and subsequent procurement planning Follow through on the project, including obtaining the sign offs and approvals where necessary before the space is built, all the time ensuring that the space is built according to approved plans Keep abreast of healthcare planning topics and issues, so as to lead the hospital development in the desired direction Operational Responsibilities Support the user departments in design operations, operations planning, procurement and scheduling related to engineering Interface with the consultants and build stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, including government agencies Responsible for budgetary planning and control, ensuring that the development keeps within budget Be on the ground to manage various sub-projects, interacting with different stakeholders Write papers for approval on relevant subjects when required Support the rest of the campus planning team where required Other Project and Programme Management and Implementation of Strategy and Initiatives Coordinate, track and manage several on-going projects and events at a time, keeping an eye on each timeline and monitoring follow up actions to achieve milestone goals to meet specific deadlines Assist in identifying relevant strategy goals, initiatives and programmes for campus planning, and developing action plans for implementation Review the initiative and programme execution at regular intervals and report the progress at management meetings Writing reports and papers on the progress of the projectsOther duties as assignedRequirements Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical related Experience in design of Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems will be highly advantageous At least 10 years of relevant work experience Candidates with healthcare background highly preferred Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills Stakeholder management and relationship building skills Strong team-player, with natural ability to interact with all levels of staff Demonstrated leadership qualities and strategic planning capabilities Pleasant disposition, approachable and good interpersonal skills Good listening ability, and a positive attitude Meticulous, organised, logical and analytical, able to fit different pieces of the puzzle together Independent worker, with strong initiative for planning and doing, and able to work on several things at once Have a natural affinity for technology, and its enabling capabilities Comfortable with ambiguity, unchartered territory, enjoy challenges and problem solvingIf the role sounds interesting to you, please contact '[ Email address blocked ] ' to understand more on the role.
