Role Summary

The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for the accounting matters (including month end closing and internal control) of the overseas markets to ensure accurate and timely financial closing and reporting, to drive for better transparency in financial information in compliance within the Group\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines, improving internal control procedures and governance compliance in accordance with local and international accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for group lead and oversee a team of finance executives based in overseas markets to perform full set of accounts and month end closing
  • For emerging market entities, to liaise with outsourced bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements on periodic basis
  • Manage relationships and be core go-to person for Reporting matters between various departments within the finance function (e.g. M&A, Tax, Corporate Finance, Treasury and FP&A) as part of day-to-day activities
  • Familiarity with FRS accounting standards / conceptual understanding of Capitalisation of costs & borrowing cost, and leases preferred but not mandatory
  • Involve in producing accurate and timely monthly reports to management
  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of accounting and reporting matters relating to new project initiatives for the overseas entities
  • Work closely with other regional Finance team supporting APAC entities to drive better transparency in financial information for better rationalisation of reported KPIs, business trending, financial variances and other statistical results
  • Support in overall accounting system and processes implementation where required
  • To support in managing and review of dormant entity books for period end and year-end financial statement audits
  • To support in any financial due diligence for any new investments
Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent
  • At least 10 years\' experience in handling full sets/group consolidated accounts; preferably 4 - 5 years audit experience in a public accounting firm
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams located in different geographies.
  • Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment
  • Bilingualism preferred but not a must
