Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President, Group Sustainability and Group Safety Officer, you will support CapitaLand\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability initiatives relating to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) to elevate the Group\xe2\x80\x99s OHS operational excellence across its real estate life cycle. You will engender an OHS culture where OHS is pervasive, competencies are deep, and practices are strong. You will also leverage digitalization to institute OHS adoption with speed and simplicity.

• Co-create/ Lead OHS engagement programs, and drive OHS adoption.
• Co-create/ Lead the implementation of innovative OHS platforms, technologies and solutions.
• Lead internal OHS committees to drive OHS performance. Conduct joint site walks to strengthen OHS practices. Lead/support training to deepen OHS competencies.
• Support business and functional units, as well as other stakeholders to promote a progressive and pervasive OHS culture.
• Monitor, analyse and report on emerging global OHS trends and regulatory directions to feed into the business strategies and recommend improvements.
• Support joint investigations with business and functional units for OHS incidents. Lead investigations for significant incidents.
• Lead OHS inspections/ audits, and recommend policy, process and/or product feature improvements to mitigate OHS risks.

Requirements

• Degree in a technical field (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science/Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering). Professional OHS qualifications with extensive OHS experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated OHS ability with an innovative and pragmatic approach. Experience in managing construction projects in an OHS-related area or technical experience in environmental sustainability is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, advocacy, communication, and people skills to engage stakeholders.
• Energetic, good organisational skills, able to work independently, and a collaborator in a fast\xe2\x80\x91paced environment.
• Prepared to travel overseas for work.
