Job Description

The Group Internal Audit function provide independent and objective assurance and consulting services to add value and improve the organization\'s operations by providing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes of the Group to facilitate the achievement of the Group\'s objective.

About the Role

• Assist the Assistant Vice President to assess and carry out risk-based audits and reviews of the Group\'s systems, policies, arrangements and procedures to assess whether the internal controls are adequate and effective, identify the gaps and give recommendations to management.
• Contribute to other assignments such as control self-assessment rollouts / verifications, process improvement, investigations.
• Execute the risk-based audits according to the annual audit plan approved by the Audit Committee within the SingPost Group of Companies to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems. This includes the end-to-end audit cycle from planning to communicating internal audit results with practical and value-added recommendations based on best practices to the appropriate level of management.
• Conduct follow-up procedures to ensure that accepted recommendations are timely and adequately implemented by Management.
• Facilitate the Control Self-Assessment exercise for the Group, including rollouts and verifications.
• Perform investigations or any other ad-hoc assignments as required.

What You Need To Have:

• A first degree in accounting or business-related and/or equivalent professional qualifications. For example, ACCA, CA, CPA.
• Relevant certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) / Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of internal and/or external auditing experience. Prior experience in or knowledge of logistics industry will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge and practical experience about risks, internal controls, data analytics, risk management, governance, audit techniques and methods
• Detailed with basic knowledge of local regulations
• A strong team player with good interpersonal skills and project management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Possess strong analytical mind, resourceful and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in use of audit software, TeamMate+
