What the role is:Singapore is one of the fastest-ageing countries in the world. By 2030, around 1 in 4 Singaporeans will be aged 65 and above. This demographic shift will have profound implications on Singapore and create an increased demand on our existing healthcare system. As Senior Manager / Manager / Assistant Manager with the Ageing Planning Office, you will be part of the team to define, plan and execute whole-of-government and national strategies in response to the needs of Singapore\'s ageing population. Specifically, you will be part of the Active Ageing team to promote healthy and meaningful longevity for seniors, to alleviate ageing-related challenges and enable them to age actively and healthily in communities. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, such as public agencies, community and industry partners, at the same time.What you will be working on:You will play an active role in implementing the initiatives under the 2023 Action Plan for Successful Ageing and Age Well SG, whole-of-society efforts to redefine ageing as a positive force. You will be involved in spearheading the national agenda and policy direction to drive active ageing efforts in Singapore. Examples include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Dementia, to improve the current landscape by addressing challenges such as in building capacity and capability, enhancing awareness and reducing stigmatisation, and improving care and support services for persons living with dementia and their caregivers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Research and development, to spur innovation in ageing, support test-bedding and scaling up of innovative solutions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Senior volunteerism, to empower seniors to continue contributing to society while staying active and meaningfully engaged.What we are looking for:Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary education in any discipline. \xe2\x80\xa2 Preferably at least 3-4 years of relevant experience and knowledge in areas such as policy formulation, project management, research strategy and operationalising and implementing programmes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Passion for working with citizens, including seniors and community partners. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently and as a team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Highly driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and dynamic work environment which requires critical thinking and decision-making skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
