What the role is:Singapore is one of the fastest-ageing countries in the world. By 2030, 1 in 4 citizens will be aged 65 and above. This demographic shift will have profound implications on Singapore and create an increased demand on our existing healthcare system. As a Manager/Senior Manager with the Ageing Planning Office, you will play a pivotal role in shaping national policies and programs to address the unique challenges posed by Singapore\'s ageing population. Our team\'s mission is to enable our seniors to age actively and healthily in the community. Responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 You will be part of our team that leads the formulation, evaluation of policy frameworks for centre-based care services. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, WOG agencies and other key stakeholders such as private service providers to develop integrated solutions \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and assess the impact of implemented policies and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and adaptation to the evolving needs of Singapore\'s ageing population \xe2\x80\xa2 You will be working in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. \xe2\x80\xa2 For SM\'s role, it will have supervisory responsibilities requiring the individual to lead a small team.What you will be working on:

  • Develop and implement intermediate and long-term care services, particularly for centre-based care (Active Ageing Centres and Senior Care Centres), as part of MOH\'s overall strategy to support HealthierSG efforts. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop, review, implement and oversee a community care system under Age Well SG\'s new Active Ageing Centre service model, which supports seniors across the socio-economic spectrum, proactively provides preventive health, and integrates social and health support, to support seniors to age in place in the community. \xe2\x80\xa2 Review the performance and facilitate follow-up action of at least 50 centres at an estimated annual operating budget of $47.5m (i.e. $0.95m per centre). \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and analyse population trends and citizen feedback, to conceptualise and develop policies to refine or create new models of care around centre-based services. This is to ensure that appropriate support is rendered to seniors with care needs.
