What the role is:The government is making a decisive shift towards deepening partnership - between government and citizens, and citizens with one another. The Singapore Government Partnerships Office (SGPO) has been recently established to take the lead in this shift. We serve as a first stop for those who want to partner the government, by facilitating interactions between people and the government, and connecting them with resources to help turn ideas into action. We work together with government agencies to strategise, plan and coordinate partnership and engagement efforts. We oversee resources, including funds and grants, to enable partnerships with citizens and interest groups. We do this to help shape a better Singapore, anchored by shared values of solidarity and mutual responsibility, and a desire for a more inclusive, resilient, and united society. We are looking for individuals with the conviction, traits, and experience to actively shape this endeavour.What you will be working on:Your roles and responsibilities may include the following: Develop, coordinate, and execute partnership and engagement strategy and plans, in partnership with government agencies. Develop and institutionalise systems and structures to sustain and advance partnership and engagement across government and other stakeholders. Support the development of grant policies and guidelines for community and partnership. Support the governance and administration of grant schemes, including reviewing funding processes, supporting project assessments, and developing funding agreements. Advocate for and mobilise partnerships; promote a partnership and engagement culture across government and other stakeholders.What we are looking for:An ideal candidate is someone who: Thinks analytically, creatively, and strategically. Communicates clearly and persuasively, in writing and speaking. Has strong interpersonal skills, wins trust readily, and plays well in a team. Is adaptable and agile when facing ambiguity, complexity, and challenge. Takes initiative and organises, plans, and coordinates effectively under tight deadlines. Experience in system-level work, change management and/or organisation development will be helpful, and experience in the public sector and/or partnership/engagement-related work will be a benefit. Experience administering, managing, and evaluating the performance of funds or grants to non-government or ground-up groups for social and community causes. Experience with service process management and working with legal documents.
