Job Description

This role involves planning, co-ordination, and supervision of works to be undertaken for the successful delivery of the redevelopment of a facility. You are required to be familiar with the relevant building mechanical, electrical, structural, safety and security-related requirements to ensure that the project plans and implementation are coherent. You will participate in the formulation of tender documents, evaluation, project implementation, design reviews related to mechanical, electrical, structural, safety and security aspects of the developmental works, testing & commissioning (where applicable), project delivery and consultancy services. You will also work with the appointed project managers / consultants / contractors to ensure that works carried out by these appointed vendors are in accordance with the specified quality, as well as to ensure that the required safety and security standards are well-met.

The Senior Manager / Manager will play an important role in SingPost's infrastructure and process re-engineering projects. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To work with external and internal stakeholders on mechanical, electrical, structural and logistics safety and security-related requirements affecting development / redevelopment works.
  • To work with appointed consultant to provide inputs (including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, structural, safety and security-related requirements) for the development / redevelopment works, formulate tender documents, call and evaluate tenders related to the development / redevelopment works.
  • To work with appointed project managers, project designers and consultants on the design reviews related but not limited to mechanical, electrical, structural, safety and security aspects of the development / redevelopment works, testing & commissioning (where applicable) for timely project delivery.
  • To work with the appointed project managers to ensure that development / redevelopment works carried out by the appointed contractors are in accordance with the specified quality and safety standards.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and supervise development / redevelopment related works carried out by the appointed contractors for SingPost's infrastructure project, which includes but not limited to mechanical, electrical, structural, safety and security aspects.
  • To coordinate the flow of information between external and internal stakeholders.
  • To manage various stakeholders related to SingPost's infrastructure project during the project planning, implementation, and commissioning phases, across all aspects of work (including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, structural, safety and security-related requirements), which interface with the development / redevelopment works of SingPost's infrastructure project.
  • To draft and review new and existing SOPs (whenever required) that will improve existing processes and workflows related to mechanical, electrical, structural, safety and security aspects of the project.
  • To perform other duties and tasks as assigned (other than those stated above) from time to time by the management.
