The Regional Medical Operations and Excellence Senior Manager plays an important role in enhancing the internal capabilities and quality of Medical Affairs function through developing and standardizing processes across APAC affiliates in the area of Medical Affairs metrics, Medical Plans and Budget, Training, Clinical Studies, Diagnostic and Digital medical capabilities as well as be overall responsible in coordinating any internal or external medical meetings at the regional level and also implementing a system for exchange and archival of information between global, region and countries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Medical Excellence
Develop and standardize and track key Medical Affairs performance metrics in alignment with head office and regional needs.
Support the evaluation, recommendation, and presentation of standard practice and process improvements to leadership and key stakeholders. Work with head office to ensure regional processes are harmonized taking into consideration affiliates\xe2\x80\x99 and global feedback.
Champion digital initiatives that can help to enhance MA performance and capability to internal and/or external stakeholders
Champion and establish a diagnostic eco-system and registry at regional level that can help to shorten the diagnostic odyssey for rare disease patients and increase understanding of the disease
Implement platforms for learning and best practice sharing and information/materials sharing and archival
Medical Operations
Provide senior management with timely updates on the progress of metrics and alert any significant changes in scope or timelines.
Work with Supervisor to organize Leadership Team and other key strategic regional meetings to achieve strategic objectives.
Develop executive-level presentations for select meetings.
Work with relevant departments/personnel to ensure all procedures/SOPs are adhered to when organizing external meetings.
Work with relevant departments/personnel to ensure new medical staff are onboarded comprehensively and able to receive the appropriate training promptly.
Lead in the development of MA-related SOPs and ensure proper implementation at regional level
Partner with Global Medical Operations in Global projects to represent regional needs and support process roll-out in our region
Drives and ensure that the templates for Medical Plan and Budget Planning are standardized and keeping track to ensure submission are done timely.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree background with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry
At least 2 years of regional experience (with project management experience or similar roles preferred)
In-depth knowledge of local, regional and national healthcare systems and processes for allocation and delivery of care
Track record of successful working with cross functional teams locally and internationally with ability to think beyond the function, identifying connections between different areas of the organization to see the broader perspective
Strong track record of delivering results in project management and operational strategies
Working experience in orphan/ultra-orphan therapy areas (preferred)
