JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Strategy, Planning & Services - Consulting is a key member of the Consumer Operations Continent Planning & Services organization that provides strategy, consulting and PMO support primarily to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO) and their leadership teams. The position will report into the Senior Director, Planning & Services \xe2\x80\x93 Strategy, Planning & Services, APEC and will focus on leading key consumer operations initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include engaging continental (Asia Pacific excluding Greater China) and Consumer Operations Leadership to identify, plan and locally execute initiatives that will enable a successful delivery against their respective strategic priorities. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time. This position will also require working closely with senior leadership in the continent & regions as well as other departments within Marriott\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Headquarters (e.g., Sales, HR, Finance, and Analytics).

This individual will focus primarily on projects similar to the below:

  • Strategic planning to ensure alignment and successful delivery of Consumer Operations programs and initiatives
  • Project management & execution to provide project management, analytical and communication support key initiatives rollout
  • Project management office to support the design and implementation of a system for tracking and reviewing all key projects and budgets
  • Manage ad-hoc initiatives & provide thought partnership to senior leadership team
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
Experience Preferred
  • A demonstrated thought leader with proven ability to work across organizational, functional & geographical boundaries
  • Prior experience leading the planning and execution of strategic projects in the Loyalty, Sales, Rev. Mgt., Marketing & Digital area.
  • Track record of delivering projects in complex environment
  • Prior consulting or project management experiences would be required, experience in leading consulting company would be preferred
  • Experience in hospitality industry would be advantageous.

Project Management & Execution Leadership

Provide project management and analytical support for large, complex, cross-function implementation projects. Acts as a project management leader and day-to-day project decision maker with the following responsibilities:
  • Accountable to the results of the project with minimal oversight
