Well-structured Design for sourcing programs reduces risk of value chain disruptions and margin pressure by source-ability checks and multi-sourcing enhancements, which improves negotiation power. Key to success here is the involvement of all kind of internal stakeholders and a solid methodology. As Senior Procurement Manager Design for Sourcing, you will directly report to the Director of Design for Sourcing in the Procurement Center of Excellence and herein support an overall program to strengthen the existing activities. Target for Procurement is to utilize design-for-sourcing levers along the whole product lifecycle. In your new role you will: Champion the Procurement Engineering and Category Managers with methodologies, such as supplier cost modeling, feature value analysis at the commercial & technical levers to optimize product design / engineering choices with focus on the supplier value chain Build up a concept & negotiation savings Design for Sourcing project pipeline and support in the implementation of all activities Support in multi-sourcing share increase, IDEA-convention projects, concept idea gathering via Infineon supplier weeks Facilitate cross-functional Design for Sourcing Projects together with Procurement, R&D, Product Marketing, and be responsible for stakeholder management Be an Ambassador for the Global Design for Sourcing program in Procurement Your Profile You are very structured and as a real team player you are able to quickly establish a successful cooperation within an international and culturally diverse environment. It is easy for you to push ideas to their full implementation and application. You like to work conscientiously on making things better, and it is easy for you to find solutions in complex environments. Moreover, you recognize opportunities and have a good sense for ideas with business added value. You are best equipped for this task if you have: Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree in Business Administration / Engineer with at least 8 years of work experience in a combination of procurement / design for sourcing related tasks, preferably within the Semiconductor industry Excellent know-how of Design for Sourcing methodologies , such as Cost Modeling, Feature Value Analysis Strong communication skills, especially experienced in presenting results to Top management A solution-oriented mindset , excellent in analytical and conceptual skills Good project management experience with the ability to master time sensitive projects with outstanding results Occasional travelling may be required
