Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic directives to own and execute department strategies
  • Manage a team (QC, NDT, and Lab) of salaried direct reports
  • Lead the team to meet company targets and ensure work is done in accordance to approve technical data requirement and understand root cause when targets are not met.
  • Establish action plans with short to medium term focus
  • Interface with various business functions such as Engineering, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Human Resource and Materials to achieve business goals & company objectives
  • Lead quality transformation activities through the introduction of advance technologies to achieve centre of excellence
  • Responsible for making significant improvement of inspection processes, systems, or methods to enhance the performance of quality
  • Support on cost reduction efforts to drive down costs and drive profitability of the company.
  • Drive productivity and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency in the workplace.
  • Support site-level productivity metric (Utilization & Hour per pieces), drive new innovations and reduction of rework processes to achieve YOY productivity improvement.
  • Oversight of resource planning to maximize productivity
  • Drive employee engagement culture of respect, empowerment, communication, and teamwork
  • Accountable for department Capex, budget, and expenses
  • Ensure compliance of Quality standards, drive CORE, EH&S and Ethics culture within the team as well as assume roles in CORE and EH&S sub-committees.
  • Develop potential successors in the talent pipeline and champion talent developments to ensure team stability and business continuity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or other equivalent.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Quality Control, Operations or Aerospace Aftermarket MRO.
  • Strong leadership in managing a business unit or large operations teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex operational issues including workforce planning, on- time delivery and operations excellence.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a cross-functional team in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with strong leadership and business acumen.
  • Able to work with all levels of management and in a fast-paced, matrix reporting organization.
  • Experience in aircraft engine workshop and maintenance & repair of gas turbine engines component is a plus.
