Roles & Responsibilities

• Architect, design & manage development team for a cloud agnostic, open architecture, modular, highly scalable, expandable, and maintainable “Data Analytics Reusable Core” product
• Work with product owner to develop and maintain product architectural roadmap that is aligned with business and enterprise architecture strategies and standards
• Work with delivery team colleagues to refine and enhance product functionality based on project implementation feedback
• Manage joint operations team that maintains the computing infrastructure for internal product & analytics modelling
• Assist internal customers in crafting technical content for analytics related tender responses
• Collaborate with stakeholders within GEC and with LOBs to develop standards, guidelines, best practices and reference architecture for analytics platforms
• Act as final reviewer for quality control of product development code
• Conduct periodic technology scans and review of potentially useful COTS or open source software components or products, as well as doing competitor product analysis

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems or related field.
• The candidate should have at least 9 to 10 years of technical experience in Information Technology, out of which 4 to 5 years are in Big Data, Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence technology with knowledge of analytics and AI technologies
• Expertise in Agile software product development (Scrum) with experience working with multiple scrum teams as a plus
• Extensive prior experience with both monolithic software development as well as cloud native, open architecture, microservices based application development
• Familiarity with multiple cloud providers and technologies
• Substantial knowledge of various aspects of Big Data with good understanding and practical implementation experience in technologies such as HDFS, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka etc.
• Deep understanding of relational, NoSQL, NewSQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, CitusDB, MemSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Neo4J, for OLTP, OLAP, and analytical modelling etc.
• Strong in programming languages such as Java, Python or Scala on both Linux/Windows.
• Experience in application instrumentation, measurement, log data processing, monitoring, as well as message based application development using JMS, MQ Series/Rabbit MQ.
• Experience with frameworks such as Angular, React, Hibernate, Node.js and Spring etc.
• Experience in both integrating with third party APIs as well as creating & maintaining our own
• Strong understanding of secure SDLC as well as technologies such as OAuth, TDE, key management, message and file gateways etc.
• Experience in implementing search using Elasticsearch and Solr
• Understanding of production grade ML implementations on edge devices will be a plus
• Experience in ETL design, data warehousing, BI reporting
• Experience in DevOps, DataOps, and Linux/UNIX system administration
• Familiarity & practical implementation expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, MLFlow
• Experience in operational support for analytics solutions in production
• Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking and project management skills, as well as ability to build good working relationships with customers
