You will join the International Operated Markets (IOM) and International Direct Licensed Markets (IDL) Segment Technology Team as the engagement lead of the backend capabilities initiatives supporting the European, Asia Pacific and Middle East markets. You will be responsible for the readiness of our key digital technology initiatives that will help deliver a better experience for our Customers. Daily, you will partner with colleagues in many other teams within Global Technology including, global product leads, Product Engineering, and Global Release Managers. You will also work closely with our Global Strategic Technology Partners to ensure our digital products provide the best customer experience possible and meet the needs of the segment. The purpose of the role:

  • Oversees the various development and deployment workstreams of backend and front-end capabilities
  • Chair the scrum of scrum meetings
  • Ensure the issues remediation is delivered/deployed for deployment and market teams to test and activate
  • Ensure product and market estate readiness for Digital commerce platforms covering Mobile Apps, Delivery, Back-end capabilities etc.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our markets, Global Technology, Strategic partners such as Capgemini and other internal functions including RSG, Legal and Operations
  • Building relationships across the business with excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Be a driving force behind the team move to agile ways of working
What Team will I be a part?
  • You will join the Segment Solution Services Team which is part of the McDonald’s Global Technology function. You will be interacting with colleagues and leadership in the IOM and IDL Markets, and the wider Global Technology Functions.
  • This team is responsible for:
  • Anything to do with new capabilities solutions that have not yet been deployed or that we're still learning how to deploy.
  • Providing an interface between the deployment teams, product and engineering teams and relevant deployment stakeholders in relation to new requirements.
  • Establishing and operating relevant solution related technical playbook, charters, legal documents, and deployment guides.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all Solution readiness inquiries
  • Participating in project and initiative planning and software release management communication
  • Facilitating project working teams and governance meetings.
  • Working with the other Deployment Teams on standardization initiatives to be delivered to the Market; Market 0 projects – where an initiative or capability is being delivered for the first time; transition to agile ways of working; planning and alignment activities for future project work.


Qualifications
  • 10+yrs experience in a product management role, with proven experience within Digital and Retail Technology (e.g. Mobile Apps, ecommerce, Self-Order Kiosk, POS, Delivery).
  • Demonstrated ability in a similar role leading complex cross-functional Technology initiatives that included the ability to develop project plans, communicate deadlines, carry out project deadlines and creatively tackle issues.
  • Excellent knowledge and proven experience of leading teams in the areas of QSR domain knowledge (McDonald’s experience preferable), Strategic Project Management and Agile Transformation
  • Experience of working in an ambiguous environment that requires the regular identification, definition and implementation of change.
  • To be willing to travel internationally and work hours to accommodate the multiple time zones in which we operate.
  • To be able to work with culturally diverse teams across all levels in a global product centric organization and in an extensively outsourced environment and manage and work with stakeholders that may be located globally.
  • Exceptional influencing and communication skills – demonstrated ability to create followership, orchestrate and empower teams from planning through the delivery of solutions, and ability to deliver information in a clear, succinct way, ensuring the organization makes rapid and informed decisions.
  • Strong Project Management skills – PMP or other Project Management Certification preferred. Exposure to agile methodologies is a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • An attention to detail and an analytical approach will assist you when mapping out plans and resource needs for sophisticated initiative
