In pursuing our mission to make Singapore our Safe and Secure Best Home, we remain always constant and true to our core values of Honour and Unity.What you will be working on:The job holder supports the Deputy Director (Southeast Asia & ASEAN) to develop and operationalise regional and bilateral engagement strategy in support of MHA's objectives for the Southeast Asia country accounts and ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Transnational Crime (SOMTC) Dialogue Partners. The job holder is also a Protocol Officer and will manage all incoming visits and engagements, and to staff incoming and outgoing visits to ASEAN countries. Additionally, the job holder is required to ensure the successful planning and organisation of high-signature multilateral meeting platforms (i.e. SOMTC and ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime) during Singapore's ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027. This includes organising the pre/during/post events relating to the meeting platforms.What we are looking for:We are seeking for a proactive, resourceful and independent individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The job holder should have a strong interest in current affairs and international relations (IR) work, with good interpersonal communications, writing and networking skills. Relevant experience in the IR field of work (including events planning/management) is an added advantage. All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
