Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Work closely with the AP SL Senior Management team to formulate strategic vision, mission and strategy of the business unit, in alignment with global service logistics strategy and DSC Global/DSC APAC strategy
  • Participate in strategic planning and overall unit performance
  • Organization assessment towards creating cross functional synergies and managing resources to ensure future organizational readiness
  • Integrate information from all projects to assess whether the organization is achieving its strategic objectives
  • Prioritize projects given resource considerations and strategic priorities of the business unit
PMO
  • Manage a portfolio of cross functional strategic projects to create a future-ready SL organization
  • Planning through centralization and coordinated management of all strategic projects
  • Monitor and report of individual projects against established KPIs
  • Directly manage and execute selected projects as required to provide relevant inputs on project delivery. Examples: sector development, product development, country development and engagement
  • Establish knowledge base with lesson learned and best practices
  • Drive clear results of projects in alignment with strategy and mission of AP SL
  • Coordinate communication across projects, identify and manage interdependencies among projects
  • Preparation of management report materials for various management forums
Leadership & Change Management
  • Lead and drive cross functional teams in achieving strategic objectives for the organization
  • Be a strong advocate for new ways of working so that there is constant push towards preparing the organization for the future
  • Develop and transform the organization towards structured issue-based problem solving and x-functional collaboration
Requirements
  • Min 5 years of working experience, consultancy preferred
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles, Service Logistics aftermarket operations
  • Understanding of business dynamics, culture, practices, and engagement model so as to achieve collaborative approach to Innovation implementation and adoption and optimization
  • Process-oriented with excellent project management, people management and organizational skills
  • Good understanding of basic financial concepts; Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability for quantitative analysis and modeling
  • A positive and contributory attitude and strong team player and can perform with tight deadlines while maintaining performance
  • Adept in driving successful change management at all level within the Service Logistics network. Able to handle ambiguity, resourceful and possessing the initiative to drive towards the end goals
  • Good communication, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, interpersonal and intercultural skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups on region-wide projects (both internal & external stakeholders)
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a comprehensive knowledge of DHL systems relating to customer service. It is expected that the individual will have exceptional skills in PowerPoint and Excel
