Job Description


What the role is:You will join a dynamic team in the Community Relations and Engagement Division (CRED) that strengthens social cohesion thought leadership in Singapore through developing partnerships and programmes with local and overseas thought leaders, religious leaders, policy makers and academic institutions and civil society groups. This includes overseeing content and programme development as part of a strategic partnership with a local think tank. You will also oversee communications and stakeholder engagement for our flagship international programme - the International Conference on Cohesive Societies and its related programmes on social cohesion. In addition, you will provide guidance to the design and execution of these programmes, so as to ensure that they are aligned and support the interests of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and the broader Government agenda, especially on the theme, topics, and content through overall project management for the partnership team.What you will be working on:

  • Support CRED\'s partnership branch by overseeing the initiation, prioritization marketing and communications of a research and operational unit with a local think tank. This includes planning, developing, overseeing and leading programme and content from ideation through completion. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor, track and report on the project deliverables. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyze risks and opportunities; oversee procurement management; monitor project progress and handle issues that arise; Act as point of contact with stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement strategies to expand MCCY\'s partnerships with local and international thought leaders, academic institutions and think tanks, and other stakeholders, around promoting social cohesion. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the development of social cohesion policies through tracking of international developments and engaging international thought leaders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop & organise programmes to profile Singapore\'s thought leadership in fostering social cohesion, including racial and religious harmony. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the planning and administration of overseas trips with senior management to strengthen regional and international partnerships. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate closely with other CRED sub-units to develop community engagement programmes, including a Young Leaders Program for emerging youth leaders.

Strong communication, people management and interpersonal skills. d. Able to work independently when required and as a team player. e. Resourceful and high attention to detail. f. Strong interest in issues of community, social cohesion, racial and religious harmony. g. Sensitivity to inter-religious and cross-cultural matters. h. Familiarity with budget and procurement planning. i. Good track record in public relations, strategic communications and marketing will be an advantage. j. Able to travel overseas occasionally for work (once every 3-4 months). k.
