What the role is
Part of the Digital Industry and Talent Group, Human Capital Cluster in IMDA, the Talent Development Division seeks to not only strengthen the talent backbone for the development of Singapore’s InfoComm Technology and Media sectors, but also help Singaporeans fulfil their aspirations and capture good job opportunities. We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager / Manager to drive the development, review and implementation of strategies to enhance opportunities in InfoComm Technology (ICT) and Media for students and graduates from Polytechnics and Institute of Technical Education (ITE). This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to two important areas: accelerate the digital growth of enterprises and provide good job opportunities to Singaporeans. You will be reporting to the team lead and Director, Talent Development.
What you will be working on
- Develop an in-depth understanding of industry demand for ICT and Media talent, and the Polytechnic/ITE curriculum in these areas - Formulate and execute data-driven strategies to enhance employment outcomes and career progression for Polytechnics and ITE graduates - Coordinate with other teams in IMDA and other Government agencies to ensure that the team’s strategies are coherent in the context of broader economic policies
What we are looking for
- At least two years of experience with policy or strategy development; experience with ICT or Media is a plus - Strong sense of responsibility and ownership - Ability to think through complex issues, gather facts, make sense of data, find feasible solutions, and implement them - Empathy for end-users who will be impacted by the team’s strategies is key - Strong writing and communication skills, and ability to pitch proposals to IMDA decision makers and external stakeholders
