Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Maximize network performance by monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving complex problems and outages. Optimize traffic and capacity planning for future growth. Develop, implement, and test network security measures, including configuring firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Act as the technical escalation point for network issues, providing expert-level support to resolve critical problems with minimal downtime. Guide, train, and mentor junior network engineers. Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and reports for management. Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to plan for network improvements and resource allocation. Work with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues and deliver project scopes. Conduct regular network audits and ensure adherence to security compliance and governance policies.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools Familiarity with network operating systems Certifications like Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferred Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex network issues. Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers. Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects effectively to meet deadlines
