INTRODUCTION

The Senior Officer role will contribute to the Marketing & Engagement (M&E) function of the National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore, and will be crucial in supporting the publicity, communications, marketing, outreach and engagement efforts for Singapore\'s national supercomputing research infrastructure. The position will be responsible for planning and administering NSCC\'s marketing, communications and publicity initiatives to our audiences, both locally and abroad, aligned with the recent upgrading and growth of Singapore\'s supercomputing

resources. The goal will be to build mindshare and conduct activities that will aid the development and upskilling of Singapore\'s high-performance computing (HPC) and research community.

JOB SCOPE

The candidate will be an integral part of NSCC\'s publicity, communications, awareness and marketing plans for existing and potential new HPC users and stakeholders. The aim will be to promote NSCC\'s HPC capabilities and educate local audiences about the benefits of HPC in advancing innovative research. The successful candidate will also take on the important role of assisting the Head of the M&E function with international engagements with like-minded HPC centres from around the

world. Key responsibilities include:

\xc2\xb7 Planning, coordinating and executing initiatives and activities to grow engagement with HPC communities, especially with potential international partners.

\xc2\xb7 Assist and coordinate the centre\'s participation in local and overseas conferences, workshops, and other events, ensuring that the centre\'s goals, achievements and capabilities are highlighted and well-represented.

\xc2\xb7 Developing, creating and maintaining high-quality, and engaging marketing content for a variety of channels, including newsletters, social media, website copy, and other marketing collaterals.

\xc2\xb7 Developing and creating publicity opportunities to promote HPC to new audiences, including crafting media releases, speeches, presentations, success stories and media engagement.

\xc2\xb7 Organising and executing events and engagement opportunities with current and new potential users (e.g. roadshows, seminars, webinars etc.).

\xc2\xb7 Supporting day-to-day department operations, including management of minutes, reports, administrative duties, budgets and procurement.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the centre\'s communications and marketing activities, using data and analytics to inform future strategies and tactics.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of supercomputing, as well as emerging trends and best practices in communications and marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS

\xc2\xb7 University Degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline.

\xc2\xb7 At least 2 years of working experience in a corporate communications, media relations, marketing, public relations or a related field.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to adapt, edit, summarise and present key communications for different audiences and channels.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent networking, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and senior executives, locally and abroad.

\xc2\xb7 Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.

\xc2\xb7 Experience in organising meetings, events and conferences is an added bonus.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Adobe creative suite or design/graphic skills is a plus.

\xc2\xb7 Good team player with initiative, and ability to work independently when needed.

\xc2\xb7 Willingness to learn and roll up sleeves to get the job done.

\xc2\xb7 Experience in the technology or scientific research sector is desirable.
