Responsibilities

Responsible for a full spectrum of shipping operations and documentation.
Handle shipment and able to coordinate with suppliers, buyers, ship-brokers, ship owners and agents, surveyors, insurance companies, inter offices etc, to ensure smooth loading and discharging operations.
Handle full set of shipping documents including liaison with banks on letters of credit, negotiations and collection of documentation.
Accounting - posting of receivable and payable and control of procurement account.
Able to handle full operations support to trader once business is concluded.
Supervise and delegate work to junior staff.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree holder
Minimum 7-8 years working experience, preferably from Agri or commodities DRY bulk company
Knowledge of UCP 600, Gafta, Incoterms, Gencon charter party, accounting, laytime calculations and CMA
Fluent in English & Mandarin (to communicate with counterpart in China)
Understands the nature of work required in the commodities space
Remaining composed and maintaining focus while working with clients, colleagues, and immediate supervisors in high-pressure situations.
