Oversee all marine operations for both owned and chartered vessels in the APAC region, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
Ensure vessels maintain a clean bill of Classification and Statutory certificates, including OVID.
Lead and guide the operations team in daily operational matters.
Monitor daily vessel reporting, act as the frontline contact, and interface with vessels in the operating areas, including handling correspondence.
Liaise closely with P & I and H & M on all claims for company vessels, following up with club/risk management on investigations and claims.
Coordinate with departments such as supply chain, crewing, finance, commercial, and HSQE for seamless operations and support.
Ensure operating contracts and charter agreements are maintained and adhered to from the company\'s perspective.
Issue sailing instructions during mobilization, demobilization, and as needed, including reviewing passage plans, bunker requirements, port of refuge, weather forecasting, and employing private maritime security teams for transit through high-risk areas.
Monitor vessel voyages from departure to arrival by reviewing daily situation reports via emails, AIS, Marine Traffic, and LRIT.
Liaise with clients and third-party contractors on operational matters and vessel performance, including conducting operations meetings.
Assist in managing the crewing function for vessels under your care, including recruitment, promotion, dismissal, performance appraisal, and reallocation of shipboard personnel in coordination with the crewing department.
Operate vessels within the approved operating budget and prepare the annual operating budget for vessels under your care.
Conduct vessel visits to provide leadership talks, inspect, and audit with the aim of improving vessel conditions and crew performance.
Manage and follow up on any emergencies or cases requiring medical treatment, hospitalization, or repatriation per company emergency procedures, and report to the HSE department for further review/action.
Adhere to the company\'s HSQE policies and practices.
Ensure client approval is obtained for all job expenses that are back chargeable to clients, and issue Variation Order forms if required.
Fulfill the role of acting company security officer for vessels/barges under APAC.
Requirements:
Experience as a Master.
Minimum 7 years of seagoing experience.
Good understanding, knowledge, and experience in the offshore marine industry.
