About You:

• Bachelor\'s degree in geology, engineering geology, civil engineering or other related field from an accredited University. Preferably a masters degree in a related field from an accredited university.
• 5 to 12 years of relevant experience. Experience from an engineering consulting background will be advantageous.
• Competent independent engineer/geologist
• Computer literate and familiar with digital technology, strong written and oral communication ability
• General geological understanding and skills
• Preferable to have computer programming skills (e.g. R, Python, etc.) and GIS capability.
• Preferable to have project management experience and experience in mentoring more junior staff.
• Geology, geomorphology, geohazards, hydrogeology, geotechnics
• General geological and geotechnical capability
• Preferable to have computer programming skills (e.g. R, Python, etc.) and GIS capability.
• Preferable to have 3D geological modelling skills - e.g., Leapfrog.

Our engineering geology and geotechnical engineering skills are well represented on several high profile projects in Singapore, and across the region and globally - in the transport, energy and water sectors. Our current and recent projects include the North South Corridor, Changi Airport T5, and various MRT projects. We are involved in a number of hydropower and wind projects (onshore and offshore) and continue to grow in renewable energy. In addition we have a strong experience in working with clients such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and other development agencies on development projects concerning geohazards, disaster resilience and climate resilience. This role is office based however there will be a requirement to undertake site visits and attend client meetings, if necessary.

The role is expected to:

• Be involved in a senior capacity in the delivery of a wide range of engineering projects including deep excavations, MRT, hydropower, wind power, and other projects.
• Assess the geology, geomorphology, seismicity, and/or hydrogeology and how the projects will be impacted by these factors.
• This role is a senior technical position and you will be expected to lead the geological and geotechnical inputs for projects and undertake project management roles.
• Undertake desk studies and design physical site investigations.
• Supervision and management of physical site investigations which include boreholes, geophysics, and various insitu and lab testing.
• Develop geological maps, sections and 3D geological and hydrogeological models based on the desk study and investigation results
• Undertake geological and geomorphological mapping
• Manage geotechnical database and GIS
• Produce documentation, including reports, engineering sketches, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and tender documentation
• Provide support to writing project proposals and business development
• Having an appreciation of the roles of fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects and interfacing and coordinating with them appropriately
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and appreciation of current technical standards and practices and taking a \'hands on\' role in technical matters
• Mentoring junior staff and help to develop the team.
• A role in driving to digital strategy within infrastructure engineering
• Manage projects or the geological portions of those projects.
• Prepare bids for new projects.
