Safran Test Cells, the world leader in test cell engineering for aerospace engines, is looking for a talented, effective and customer-oriented project engineer that will excel in the field of supporting and managing Safran Test Cells projects and customers. The ideal candidate will have strong industry experience, easily adapt and master supporting various applications and devices, as well as be excited to work with a broad base of international customers. Knowledge and basic understanding of DACS, as well as electromechanical systems is a requirement. The project engineer will be a self-starter and responsible, understand the goals of an engineering services firm, and appreciates the variety this position offers. The position is located in Singapore where Safran Test Cells has established its Asia support team.


Duties:


\xe2\x80\xa2 The Project Engineer supports and manage existing customer systems (DACS and other test cells systems), participates with maintenance and troubleshooting activities including testing, review and analysis processes.

\xe2\x80\xa2 The Project Engineer is responsible for oversight of projects including but not limited to partial test cell/facility upgrades, equipment of projects and might also include assisting another PM with oversight of complete test cell projects, which may include build, construction, and manufacturing, installation, integration, acceptance testing and maintenance of Safran Test Cells and 3rd party equipment (the \xe2\x80\x9cProject\xe2\x80\x9d.)

\xe2\x80\xa2 The project engineer has responsibility for financial management, contract management, and customer relations throughout the Project implementation

\xe2\x80\xa2 Perform duties with limited supervision and a high degree of responsibility, ensuring that tasks and contractual obligations are completed on schedule, within budget, to specifications and without compromise to quality.

\xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare documentation that meets organizational standards \xe2\x80\xa2

Providing ongoing feedback to management on deliverables, project performance and customer relationship.

\xe2\x80\xa2 Acquiring ongoing knowledge necessary to perform job assignments and to improve technology, products, processes and market share.

\xe2\x80\xa2 Product support through design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning, with travel as required to worldwide sites. Up to 25% travel, with some trips lasting 4 weeks or longer, may be required. \xe2\x80\xa2

Required Skills:

\xe2\x80\xa2 Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot issues is a plus (familiarity with simple air/fuel/oil systems, being able to read a P&ID schematic and report potential problems)

Education and Experience:

\xe2\x80\xa2 The project engineer must have a B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline,
\xe2\x80\xa2 Architecture, and/or Project Management, and 5+ years\' work experience across the engineering disciplines involved.
\xe2\x80\xa2 7+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
\xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant aero engine experience (design/testing/servicing) will be highly considered
