MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide supervision and drive the growth of specific research lab capabilities. 2. Participate in grant application and scientific paper publication. 3. P MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide supervision and drive the growth of specific research lab capabilities. Participate in grant application and scientific paper publication. Perform bench experiments related to cell model, DNA, RNA and protein based molecular techniques in accordance to prescribed study procedures. Troubleshoot experimental procedure and protocol. In-charge of training Research Officers/ Research Assistants. Responsible for overseeing smooth running of laboratory and day-to-day operation. Conduct periodic competency assessment of staff. Help in planning of KTPH research lab. Participation in department's education program / journal club. JOB REQUIREMENTS Must possess at least a PhD in Life Sciences or equivalent, with relevant experience in biomedical research. Experience with next-generation sequencing.
