The Senior Residential Care Worker / Assistant Head will be working with male juvenile offenders, between the age of 14 to 20, in an institutional facility, which focuses on community rehabilitation. They are required to work in shifts.

List of responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Oversee the residents on a daily basis; manage the welfare, discipline, and standards of regimentation in the Rehab institution;
  • Plan and coordinate the daily routine or programmes for the residents;
  • Able to build a strong relationship with these residents and be role models for the residents;
  • Ensure the safety and security of premises
  • Coach the Residential Care Workers to be effective in the care function and improve on their competencies
  • Assist supervisors with the management of documentations required for the department.
  • Represent the department to present investigation outcomes during statement presentation

Technical competencies:
  • Ability to interact positively with male juvenile offenders individually and in group settings
  • Ability to enforce discipline standards in a fair and respectful manner
  • Ability to plan and coordinate daily routine and programmes
  • Knowledge and ability to comply with safety, emergency requirement

  • Diploma with at least 3 years working experiences in a similar institutional setting
  • Able to do rotating shift

  • Firm in upholding the standards and responsive in dealing with people
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess strong communication and writing skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, etc
