Job Description


As our very first Senior Retail Operations Trainer, you will play a critical role in developing a customer-centric high performing global retail operations team as Castlery expands its offline presence (SG, AU and US). You will lead the design, creation and delivery of a robust training curriculum, tailored to various retail roles, including store managers, ensuring that all retail staffs are equipped with the competencies required to provide top-notch experience for our customers. You will work closely with the business leaders and HR business partners to continuously deep dive into training needs and scale these interventions through in-store trainers/store managers.What you\'ll do:

  • Conduct training sessions for retail staff across multiple markets, using various methods such as workshops, e-learning, and any other effective interventions.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to design and implement a training program specifically for store managers, ensuring they are equipped to lead their teams effectively and drive store performance.
  • Lead the design and development of a global retail competency curriculum, focusing on key skills such as customer-centric customer service, product knowledge, interior styling, sales techniques, O2O tech & operations, and store operations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to in-store trainers (e.g. store managers or team leaders) and develop continuous train-the-trainer programs to scale the impact.
  • Develop assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement. Gather feedback from participants to continuously enhance the training experience.
  • Stay updated on retail industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant insights into the curriculum.
What you\'ll need:
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in retail training, with a proven track record of developing and delivering training programs across multiple countries.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners through adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Deep understanding of retail operations and world-class customer service standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt training approaches for diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adjust training programs as needed.
  • Flexible with travelling during new store launches and for delivery of trainings.
Non-Mandatory Requirements:
  • Experience in a fast-growing retail environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in developing e-learning content is an advantage but not a must.
