We are looking for a thorough leader for our Skin Care Process Design R&D team in Singapore. The ideal candidate should bring broad experience delivering successful consumer centric innovation in the market. This position requires the person to lead programs and strongly collaborate with different R&D and Commercial functions to deliver complex global projects that meets the business needs/timing We also would look for someone that can provide daily coaching to the more junior members in the organization, able to develop and strengthen capabilities in the team and effectively partners with the team to deliver project commitments and timeline with excellence. If this sounds exciting to you, read on! Your team Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center, the individual will be part of an exciting Skin Care Global Brands R&D organization. You will work in multi-functional innovation teams comprising of Formulators, Process Developers, Methods, and commercial partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the making process design work and manufacturing process work for the category/brand
• Partner with technologists, manufacturing sites and business teams to develop and deliver innovations to all in markets in Asia and the rest of the world
• Identify, manage and communicate risk while developing robust contingency plans
• Capture key insights and technical findings from research/lab work and share results and recommendations in a clear, succinct manner.
• Influence, set, and re-adjust project direction via data, learning, and hands-on experience.
• Lead and have a thorough understanding of the assessment of technology and the project’s “technical right to succeed.”
• Anticipate competitive and business issues. Ensure project will meet known and foreseeable challenges.
• Direct appropriate aspects of cross-discipline project teams and collaborate with internal and/or external resources to deliver the requisite results.
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering with a strong aptitude for chemistry or related areas
• 6+ years' relevant experience working in FMCG sector
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English
• Market knowledge - Experience / understanding of Japanese consumers olfactive preferences and consumer goods market
• Language - Fluency in Japanese is a key requirement to be able to interpret and act on consumer studies & technical documentations for the Japanese market
• Strong technical rigor & problem-solving ability in product innovation, data mining & integration skills
• Good business acumen to link consumer opportunities to innovation defined criteria
