Get to Know the Team
You'll join Grab's PayCore Foundation team, focusing on foundational payment services to ensure stability, reliability, and efficiency across the payment ecosystem. The team works with stakeholders to improve payment success rates, cashout stability, and reduce operational fund losses.
Get to Know the Role
The role' key efforts include re-architecting core platform capabilities for better system performance and faster onboarding of payment service providers.
You will report to the Engineering Manager.
This position will be onsite at Grab office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Design, and maintain high-quality and scalable software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to solve challenging problems in the fintech domain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing resolutions.
• Contribute to the architectural decisions and technical direction of the projects.
• Participate in On-Call rotations to ensure the reliability and availability of our services and achieve operational excellence.
• Provide support to the SRE or DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our systems.
• Mentor junior engineers or interns, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge in computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• 5+ years of experience in in building scalable systems, e.g., OLTP or OLAP systems, software development, with proficiency in the major programming languages, e.g., Java and Golang.
• Experience with building web systems around DBMS, Caches, NoSQL and App servers.
• Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Demonstrated expertise in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
