The Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Indirect Categories is responsible for the Strategic Sourcing activities related to Pall\xe2\x80\x99s indirect requirements for the Singapore facility, which include assisting in the creation and implement such strategies while supporting the overall strategy of Pall\xe2\x80\x99s Global Strategic Sourcing organization. You will require to interact with internal customers, both regionally and globally, such as Sales, Engineering and Operational functions to provide Global Sourcing, Outsourcing, Insourcing and overall Subcontract Management Contract price, Purchase Price Variance, Cost Reduction/Margin Enhancement, DPO/Supplier Payables, e-Auctions and Supplier Performance which is in line with corporate strategy.

This position is part of the Asia Sourcing Team and is based in our new Singapore Manufacturing Site (Benoi Sector)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Source for Goods and Services not relating to manufacturing but is part of the core integral of the operation. Drives local RFQ process, engage with suppliers and finalises the engagement through contracting while crafting negotiating strategies, which include negotiating the contracts while working closely with Corporate Legal Team, stakeholders, and suppliers. The Key success of this role is to negotiate with suppliers according to specific policies to achieve the best contractual terms for Pall while achieving internal customer satisfaction.

Implements a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the Indirect supply base including leading periodic reviews, monitoring and managing supplier performance (technology, services and deliverables), leading stakeholders management with suppliers, and performing gaps analysis and improvement plan.

Managing internal stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 expectations and periodically executing feedback processes to understand the needs and areas of improvement.

Deploy a factual-driven approach to develop a sustainable long-term scorecards platform with suppliers to develop cost avoidance initiatives through job optimization so as to make improvements to the Factory and users.

Anticipate and mitigate risks and ensure compliance is strictly followed/ implemented in countries, e.g. social audit, mandatory global suppliers implementation, etc.

Responsible for negotiations through cost avoidance, spending under contract with the right SLA\xe2\x80\x99s, ensure delivery on company expectations on both services and also Indirect purchases.

Support, monitor, evaluate, and mentor the local purchasing team members in ensuring policies and procedures regarding compliance, commitments, early involvement, supplier selection, supplier evaluation, and supplier development related to the category are understood and implemented.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field required with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in indirect categories.

Comprehensive understanding of contract terms and conditions.

Strong interpersonal skills, proven influencing and negotiation skills, with demonstrated performance results.

Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial attitude.

Able to prioritize their own workload and organize their time to meet deadlines/commitments.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Working in unstructured, fast-paced environments.
