We are looking for a Senior Space Planner with the ability to support our client's offices dynamic nature, especially in consideration of the Future of Work where hybrid workspaces and flexi-desking is a common way of working. Adding to the mix is our client's expansion progress and a coverage of 8 countries across the APAC region, which makes for exciting times for Space Planning. You will be actively interacting with the client's business units to understand their current and even upcoming needs proactively. You will also have the ability to interact confidently with senior management to present your case for various layouts. Regular monitoring and reporting is also needed to evaluate the current health of the space under your care, while large scale occupancy projects would benefit from your planning and guidance. You will be working with other stakeholders in particular the workplace management team as partners to help drive your space planning agenda.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive the development of office plans and guide workplace spend (MAC, reconfiguration, construction etc..) in alignment with 'plan for the site(s)' in the region.
Provide analytical guidance for the implementation and ongoing operation of shared desking environments. Administer and guide occupancy data collection studies to inform workplace strategy guidelines.
Workplace program champion - communicating BLK's approach to workplace, space assignment and mobility.
Provide analytical guidance to drive major space projects and restacks, ensuring that solutions meet business needs and global workplace policies. Perform analysis and develop options that account for competing priorities and requests. Develop and present multiple space scenarios to meet these objectives.
Build and maintains a positive relationship with key client contacts while maintaining confidentiality to support guidance in business strategy and planning. Mediates meetings, guiding toward consensus and future steps.
Conducts executive level interviews/presentations and makes management level presentations that achieve desired outcomes.
Maintain space planning and forecasting reports and headcount projections.
Performs complex analysis tasks and comprehensive analysis tasks and comprehensive facility planning (e.g. opportunity analysis, options development, option evaluation, pro/con comparison, makes recommendations) with some guidance. Administer or guide occupancy data collection studies.
Able to produce high quality planning deliverables (Planning Recommendation / Planning Brief) with little guidance.
Generates program test fits in accordance to established parameters as needed.
Assists in migration and phase planning of large-scale occupancy projects.
Maintain oversight on accuracy for all occupancy data in assigned portfolio.
Ensures planning deliverables provided meet client expectations.
Know, and understand, Enterprise Services marketing strategies; and able to communicate services in an informative manner.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
English language proficiency.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Knowledge and ability to use analytical and problem-solving techniques.
Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables independently with minimal supervision.
Write client reports and deliverable text clearly and comprehensibly, with some assistance.
Intermediate IWMS/ CAFM principle understanding.
Some understanding of linkage between RE planning & financial results, and with guidance is capable of tailoring strategic direction to address financial challenges.
Capable of participating in discussions with customer on RE strategies and space use concepts.
Distills complex information to the essential for client decision-making.
Solid understanding of current workplace planning theories.
Use PowerPoint at an advanced level.
Strong analysis and spreadsheet capabilities; uses Excel at an intermediate level.
Solid computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook.
Basic AutoCAD skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Basic AutoCAD skills.
Bachelor or Master's degree in architecture, real estate, interior design or planning, engineering.
Professional certification in facility management, interior design, engineering or architecture preferred.
5-10 years of experience in project management and delivery of occupancy projects; years of experience vary with position needs.
Significant project management experience, delivering projects in remote locations.
5 years' experience in collaborative team building.
OTHER:
Travel may be required.
Overtime may be required.
