As an Automation Lead, you will execute end-to-end process for automation projects through all site capital project stages: design, funding, installation, demonstration, validation, optimization, and value-capture. This include prioritizes Automation Engineer workload on a daily basis and ensures that assigned follow-ups from the daily walk-through and other IPT activities are completed on time. Besides, you will provide automation technical expertise and support to Automation Engineers for deviation and operation investigation requiring code and system-level troubleshooting and ensures timely and effective resolution of issues
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Participates in daily IPT walk-through and is responsible for resolution of all identified automation-related equipment issues, unplanned events, and new opportunities with agility and flexibility
Ensures automation review process is completed on-time and meets regulatory requirements
Participates in external automation user groups, such as HSM, RC and PI
Facilitates automation maintenance and manages Automation contracts and vendors
Provides automation technical support for capital, Operation Excellence and any other site projects
Manages the Automation Project Portfolio. Prioritizes projects and assigns appropriate resources to projects that can be implemented using Automation resources
Coaches Automation Engineers to implement ACC change control, including management of project schedules, pre- and post-execution reviews, test plans, resource plans, vendor coordination, material purchases
Prepares /Approves IQ/OQ qualification and testing documentation, ensuring documentation meets required regulatory standards
Acts as automation business and/or technical approver for compliance-related documents, including: SOPs, Job Aids, automation training packages, qualification protocols, Automation change controls, incident reports and deviation investigation reports
Coaches Automation and IPT Engineers to develop skills in effective root-cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques (e.g. KT method, error proofing etc.), enabling effective resolution of incidents, events, deviations, investigations and fault reports
Ensures all required actions are effectively implemented within agreed time frame to prevent recurrence
Ensures Automation Engineers have knowledge and utilize Lean Six Sigma to support execution of continuous improvement and OE projects intended to increase agility, flow and throughput, and to reduce cycle time and inventory
Achieves Automation, IPT cost effectiveness and product cost reduction targets set in the Profit Plan, with particular emphasis on automation and waste reduction
Ensures SDLC documentation is made available during regulatory inspections, provides technical expertise, and implements corrective actions as required following regulatory inspections and internal audits
Demonstrates and promotes SHE leadership behavior and engages employees at all levels on SHE issues
Provides effective, regular and timely communication to the team and ensures that continuous feedback is given to support team performance
Demonstrates leadership behavior in alignment with our leadership standards
Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical or Computer Engineering
(MS preferred)
10 to 15 years of technical experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
Hands-on experience with both Yokogawa and Emerson DeltaV DCS
