About You

• Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or its equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Minimum 5-6 years post-graduate experience with a consultant background in Structural Engineering.
• Proficient in 3D structural design and analysis software i.e., Robot, SAP 2000, ETABS, SAFE, TSD etc.
• Familiar with the latest design codes of practice,
• Understanding the local authorities (e.g., BCA, PUB, NParks, LTA, DBC, etc) submission and approval process.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with Clients, government authorities, agencies, and Contractors.
• Familiar with Revit and delivering projects in BIM.
• Positivity, Strong desire to learn and support the team to achieve deliverables and milestones.
• Willing to mentor junior colleagues
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Candidate with less experience may be considered for the position of Structural Engineer.

The opportunity

Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy. We are a leading consultancy within Singapore, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Senior Structural Engineer to join our Built Environment sector.

Our building and construction engineering skills are well represented on several high-profile projects. Some examples like Rochester Commons mixed-use development at Buona Vista feature shared executive learning centre, hotel and office facilities as well as Lyf One North, Sengkang Grand Mall & Residences, Pasir Ris 8 Mall and Residences with integrated transport hub/hawker centers and polyclinics. We are also the client\'s civil & structural engineer for CapitaLand\'s Science Park 1 Phase 1 rejuvenation project at Science Park Drive, a business park covering 150,000sqm and comprising 2 blocks of 9-storey and 2 blocks of 15-storey buildings housing offices, wet labs and serviced residents.

Besides, we are the Civil & Structural engineer for the new Changi Airport\'s fifth Terminal 5 (T5).

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical co-ordination of all services with relevant authorities for the infrastructure project
• Coordinate with authorities, consultants, sub-contractors, and project teams to facilitate the design works and make sure the design is fully coordinated.
• lead coordination meetings and presentations with the relevant agency
• Liaison with other disciplines to ensure designs are coordinated with other infrastructure requirements.
• Carrying out structural design for foundation, structural steelworks, and RC structures.
• Provide design sketches and reports for schematic, detailed design development, and construction phases of projects.
• Provide detailed engineering computations and analysis for statutory submission.
• Preparation of structural briefing, specification documents, and tender documents.
• Attending technical / progress meetings with clients and carrying out periodic site inspections during construction.
• To liaise with Client, Client\'s Consultants, Contractor, and Authority to obtain design approval
