[What the role is]

This is a 11-month contract position as a Senior Student Development Officer in the Student Development Office.

[What you will be working on]

Support and manage functions in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) Management through the following:

1. Mentor Students & Inculcate Values

Coaching student leaders in their management committee role and work

Mentor students for holistic development and student life matters

Inculcate NP\xe2\x80\x99s core values through teachable moments when interacting with students

2. Manage CCA Clubs & Student Leaders in the Arts Cluster

Advise students on club management, such as training, briefings and operation matters

Plan and manage the development and training of student leaders

Facilitate the rollout of leadership programmes for all CCA clubs

Carry out and manage administrative processes, e.g. prepare/vet proposals, manage procurement such as small value purchases, invitation to quote (ITQ) and invitation to tender (ITT) and inputs of CCA records

Work with stakeholders e.g. coaches, parents, external organizations and governing bodies, for any related CCA matters

Management of CCAs\xe2\x80\x99 coach(es) especially on their training plans, contract management and code of conduct

3. Event Management

Conceptualize, plan and manage events/ performances/ activities (virtual or in-person)

Work with internal and external stakeholders

Carry out and manage administrative processes, e.g. prepare/vet proposals, manage procurement such as small value purchases, invitation to quote (ITQ) and invitation to tender (ITT)

[What we are looking for]

At least 2 years of experience in working with youths, coaching or mentoring students

Experience in community engagement work and running student development programmes

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Possess strong organizing, coordinating and administrative capabilities

Good track record of involvement in CCAs during tertiary education

Education qualification in visual/performing arts, education, psychology, social work or other related fields

Additional pre-requisites that are advantageous:

Commitment to ensure good quality for all processes and programmes

Keenness to implement changes and adopt new solutions

Ability for cross-functional management of community service clubs and performing arts clubs

Flexibility to work after office hours or on weekends when the work requires it
