Duties & Responsibilities

• To maintain and support the critical Corporate system to ensure high system availability for the Corporate services
• Responsible for the monitoring of the critical system availability and performance and to respond in the event of any operation and security incident related to the Corporate system
• To review and analyse Corporate system performance and advise on Corporate system performance tuning and improvement
• To work closely with a team of engineers to ensure the day-to-day operations of on-premise and core cloud infrastructure
• Perform the day-to-day activities (system monitoring, availability of servers, reviewing of logs, verifying completion of jobs) of the UAT & Production deployments in data centers and on the cloud
• To plan and apply OS patches, security patches and upgrades on a regular basis
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot environments across stages (Dev, Test, Prod)
• Maintain OS, database, middleware and software updates current across servers
• To engage users to understand their IT needs, design and lead improvement projects to achieve the operational KPI/SLA. This includes needs within the Teams to improve day-to-day operations
• To liaise and manage 3rd party vendors/supplier to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled, which include price negotiation and definition of scope of work
• To perform vendor assessments to determine the compliance readiness and capability of vendors to ensure the most suitable vendor is chosen for the correct job
• To assist with internal and external auditors for all audits and certifications
• To maintain proper documentation of IT inventory and develop IT processes and standards
• To serve as backup role for some of the team functions including database administrator, system administrator, etc
• Understanding and driving prioritized tasks based on department and company goals
• The candidate will be required to be on standby with on-call availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Skills & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in IT with minimum of three to five full-time years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer in a centralised and distributed enterprise production support environment
• Recent experience demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge and ability of implementing core system hardware (servers & storage), on-premise & cloud computing infrastructure and operating system solutions
• Proven experience in technology refresh project management and implementation is a plus
• Knowledge and experience in managing Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, DNS, CA, backup & recovery solutions, SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL.
• Experience in cloud technologies like AWS, Microsoft Azure is a plus
• Team player with can-do attitude and able to follow instructions. Always engage and work with the team in the design, maintenance, and implementation of systems
• Able to work independently with limited supervision
• Good written and verbal communication skills
