The Business Technology Consulting is positioned between the Insurance Consulting and the Technology functions of the ICT (Insurance Consulting and Technology) business. As a Senior Consultant, you will have the fantastic opportunity to:

The Role The Technology Consulting function in ICT is responsible for providing a range of consulting services relating to Insurance Technology’s software products and enterprise platforms. These consulting services include:

• Pre-sales for software opportunities, especially for complex client solutions
• Delivery and programme management of complex technology projects
• Solution architecture
• Implementation of complex solutions including global rollouts, SaaS / Cloud implementations, Unify (Robotic Process Automation), Radar Live (Live pricing engine), IFRS17 (Financial reporting) and Underwriter Workbench (commercial underwriting)
• Software product installation
• Stakeholder engagement

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will take a leading role in our client-facing pre-sales, implementation, and integration of our software products. In this role you will join the Technology Consulting team in APAC and be part of a global team present in every region. You will work in a flexible, inclusive, and friendly environment. Your main responsibilities will include: Enabling technology software and consulting sales including:

• Contributing to the technology aspects of sales opportunities
• Ensuring the right solution is defined for the client, and that the right technology delivery is scoped into the software sale
• Demonstrating personal credibility with clients and WTW colleagues in ICT APAC and globally
• Present technical subjects to technical and non-technical audience
• Managing RFP/RFI responses

Developing a deep understanding of ICT technology offerings and surrounding technology eco-system to:

• Be a technical expert in our software product
• Understand how ICT software can strategically help our clients
• Propose elegant solution architectures for clients using ICT software (on-premises integration, SaaS, outsourcing…) to solve hard problems
• Establish and document architecture best practices for the global team
• Unblock complex technical situations
• Work with Technology Consulting capabilities leads to improve the team’s skillset globally

Delivering the full lifecycle of client projects (from sales, design, implementation, integration and handover to software support) and being the primary point of contact to our clients for both technical, and non-technical subjects

• On-site and remote installation, configuration, and support of WTW’s enterprise software; recommending appropriate bespoke solutions where required
• Training clients on installation and on-going support of advanced software products

Working with the Regional Head of Technology Consulting and leaders of Insurance Consulting in the APAC region to:

• Engage with Insurance Consulting and Insurance Technology colleagues / peers to ensure that the technology consulting proposition is integrated with the rest of the business, and ensuring that Technology Consulting is seen as a consulting peer to Insurance Consulting
• Build a close relationship with our Insurance Consulting practice in APAC
• Providing project management on Enterprise or SaaS implementation projects (coordinating internal delivery, communication to client, integration with client system…)

You will be joining a growing team with the opportunity to take initiatives to develop our Technology Consulting activities in APAC. The Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in a global technology consulting, professional services or client-facing software organization
• Fluent in English and confident to express opinions and lead discussions
• Ability to understand, articulate, and develop complex IT architectures in a pre or post-sales context
• Good analytical and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to situations where limited information about a client or their technology stack is known
• A wide understanding of many of the technologies across our clients: IIS; MS SQL; Active Directory; Window Server; SOAP/REST based Web Services; Citrix; Kubernetes; Docker; .NET; WCF; Microsoft HPC ; Azure technologies ; SaaS
• Ability to take on full ownership for delivering a project, within company policies and guidelines, with limited supervision
• Ability to produce, and review, high quality technical documentation or presentations
• Prior project management (Waterfall or Agile) experience
• Experience in developing code or scripts, preferably in an enterprise environment
• Experience in managing internal/external client relationships and setting expectations
• Experience with systems integration and data transformation
• Relevant degree (Computer Science) or significant industry experience
• Right to work in Singapore and able to travel visa-free to most Asian countries

Desirable

• Experience in deploying software in cloud (Azure/AWS), on-premises, and hybrid environments
• Accreditation in a project management (Waterfall or Agile) methodology (E.g. PMP, AgilePM, Scrum)
• Accreditation in an architecture methodology (E.g., TOGAF)
• Significant experience, or accreditations in Cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Experience in working with high performance or distributed computing
• Experience in contracting professional services with large & complex organizations
• Linux experience
• Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) experience
• Microsoft SQL Server experience including: SSIS; Query writing; database optimization
• Experience with a scripting language (PowerShell, Batch, Python, VBA and/or Perl).
• Network performance analysis
• Development experience (.NET, C++, C#, Java)
• Core Microsoft, Azure, Citrix, Cisco, VMWare or other key IT certifications.
• Fluency in a relevant Asian language (Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Thai, Indonesian)
