Operate the power plant according to procedures and requirements including but not limited to starting, loading, unloading and shutting down the complete plant and systems
Support the Shift Charge Engineer to meet contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operation of the power station
Have sound knowledge of the safe operating parameters, controls, precaution and safety interlocks when starting and loading plant equipment so as to avoid damage and to be able to run the plant in the most efficient manner
Plant process conditions troubleshooting, analyzing and testing when necessary
Manage, monitor and control plant process operation from control room DCS
Record plant operating data and report defects and abnormalities
Carry out isolation/normalization of equipment as required by the Permit-To-Work system
Understand and be familiar with plant chemistry including handling of plant waste discharge
Carry out plant change-over and conduct testing of equipment to meet statutory compliance and best industry practices
Give inputs to long-term station planning, where necessary
Assist to implement modern O&M practices, tools and techniques for safe, reliable and efficient power station operation and to fully utilise plant\'s contractual energy, fuel and utility supply agreements
Assist to fully develop and utilize the CMMS for efficient and effective power station operation practices
Assist to implement a Quality Management System as applied to the power station
Support the implementation and management of all Health, Safety and Environmental practices
Communicate with regulatory authority on all operation matters in a timely manner
Participate in trainings and to train others as required
Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisors
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Possess at least a Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline
Relevant competency certificate as issued by the Singapore regulatory authority, or education leading to this will be advantageous
At least 6 years of working experience in Power Station Operations (ideally on a CCPP)
Ideally involved in the technical and maintenance aspects of Gas Turbines, with some experience in the erection, commissioning and initial start-up phases of a modern Power Station
Knowledgeable and experienced in Health, Safety and Environmental practices
Willing to work in Jurong Island and on 12-hour rotating shifts
