Contract is 1 year at the first instance (monthly rated, would be eligible for shift allowances as well).

The candidates are ok with the blood bank operation hours.

3 x Senior/Blood Professional Assistant

• Work place would be at one of the blood banks/ mobile team in Singapore. Hired temp staff would undergo training at Blood Bank located at Outram for the first 2 \xe2\x80\x93 3 months, and then get deployed out to one of the blood banks. Currently, we are looking at having the temp hire work at Punggol Blood Bank which is in a new blood bank slated to open later this year.
• Working days: 5 days per week (average 42 hours weekly). 5 days would include weekends. Would occasionally be rostered a weekend off. Staff would need to be ok with working on weekends and afternoon shifts.
• Staff would be monthly rated. We would like to look for someone who is trained in phlebotomy.

The Senior Blood Professional Assistant Blood provides basic blood donation nursing care and assist in management of donors during blood collection.

Blood Donation Processing

• Process donated units, including sealing of units, sorting of samples, and documentation.
• Pack and store blood units properly as per SOP
• Organise blood dispatch back to client from satellites.

Donation Room

• Assist the phlebotomist in Whole blood pre & post donation which includes blood bag preparation, bandaging, sample management of proper documentation.
• Assess suitability of donor\xe2\x80\x99s vein and perform phlebotomy for Whole Blood and Apheresis

Requirement

• Minimum \xe2\x80\x98O\xe2\x80\x99 levels. Approximate salary ranges from $2,000 - $2,700 (depending on whether the candidate has relevant background and work experience). There would also be shift allowances (afternoon and weekend).
• Relevant phlebotomy certification. Previous experience in phlebotomy is preferred.
• Familiar with customer service and service quality principles and practice
• Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and is able to multitask well
• Able to perform morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts (no night shift)
