About the job: If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us…The incumbent plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations in our Bank.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the duties of a Bank Teller, i.e. handle deposits and/or withdrawals in cash & cheque, handle auto-financing payments and issue Cashier’s Order.
  • Process fixed deposit and FX transactions.
  • Perform internal fund transfer and the issuance of cheque books.
  • Manage account closure requests from customers.
  • Attend to customers’ enquiries and feedback in a professional manner in order to ensure a good banking experience for our customers.
  • Verify Hire Purchase Agreements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports and data to the Management.
  • Escalate potential operational issues and provide remedial recommendations/suggestions to the Management.
  • Update SOPs to incorporate new work processes, policies and/or regulations.
  • Work as a team and contribute towards the business objectives.

Requirements
  • A recognized Diploma or Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the banking industry.
  • Prior experience in handling fixed deposits would be an added advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Meticulous, with a keen eye for detail.
