Senior/manager, Hr Business Partner (international)

Job Description


Job Purpose

You will play a key role in building effective HR services delivery to support the operations and growth of Strides International Business (a subsidiary of SMRT Corporation Ltd), particularly in the projects (mostly overseas) that we will be undertaking. You will partner the business by taking a proactive and consultative approach in key human resource areas to deliver and achieve business goals as well as maintaining good employee relations with line managers through dialogues, coaching and counselling. In addition, this role also functions as a global mobility and M&A advisor on HR-related matters to the business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of HR function including but not limited to implementation of HR policies, talent attraction and retention programmes, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and employee engagement
  • Take on an advisory role and work in close partnership with BU to deliver and achieve business goals, including for overseas entities (both subsidiaries and/or JVs)
  • Work with line managers on staff management and Corporate HR initiatives
  • Collaborate with HR specialist teams to ensure consistent and integrated HR support to the business
  • Support the strategic and operational growth of the businesses, from the HR perspective, through programs, policies, support and advice to the management teams
  • Coordinate with local HR to meet the needs of the business and employees, ensuring seamless process implementation and communication
  • Support due diligence and integration activities for overseas M&A or greenfield projects
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Possess a Degree with at least 5 years of relevant hands-on HR experience
  • Experience of managing M&A HR activities is preferred
  • Experience of supporting multiple business units across multiple geographies
  • Global Mobility experience and experience working with Unionised employees, is also preferred
Skills

Technical skills include:
  • Good understanding of current and emerging HR programmes and practices, especially in the area of workforce planning
  • Understanding of Global Mobility best practices, and being able to manage International Assignees globally
